Hand forged straight razor 6/8
Hollow ground straight razor in European style. A straight razor is a razor with a blade that can fold into its handle. They are also called open razors and cut-throat razors. This razor has been hand forged from 80CrV2 steel for excellent toughness and edge retention. The blade was normalised and the edge was then hardened and tempered using a differential hardening technique. The spine and the tang of the blade have been left with as-forged texture and the blade has been blued to reflect the look of forge scale in a forged product. The handle is cut from genuine ebony wood, with a nickel silver pin hinge.
This razor is a one off, and will not be reproduced.

The razor has been honed and stropped and is ready for use.
Supplied with a waxed leather case.
Please note: this is a carbon steel razor, so the blade should be dried thoroughly after use to avoid rust.
